It's Kyle's birthday and so Garrett decided to come and join him on his special day. Garrett was born somewhere around 6:15 or 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008. He weighed in at 6 lbs. 12.5 oz. and he measured 18.5".
The cord was wrapped around his neck, so that's why you'll see Gina with an oxygen mask in the opening video. There was initial concern about a spot on his heart earlier on in her pregnancy so they are paying attention to it and so far it seems good. His pediatrician will take one final look when he comes to see the baby.
Gina didn't even throw up during delivery this time, so that was great. It seems that once Gina gets to a 7, it may as well be a 10 because she seems to go from 7 to 10 faster than a sports car can go from 0 to 60. Max and I missed the delivery because by the time I got him in the car and ran up to the hospital, he was already born. Gina pushed for a total of 10 minutes. Both are doing well and resting. We won't know when she'll come home from the hospital...either Friday or Saturday.
